When you are logged into the Cloudica Desktop App, the system monitors specific computer activity to help track productivity and verify identity.
During your initial setup, you will be guided through a permission walkthrough that details exactly what the application accesses. Below is a breakdown of the data captured:
Time Tracking
Work Time: The app records active work time while running. Tracking automatically pauses if you sign out or switch to Incognito Mode.
Idle Time:If there is no keyboard or mouse activity for more than 4 minutes, the app logs the session as "Idle."
Auto-Shutdown:To ensure accuracy, the app will automatically shut down after 30 minutes of continuous inactivity.
Visual Monitoring
Webcam Snapshots:The app captures a webcam snapshot once per minute. If a user is not detected, the app will retry 30 times before skipping the snapshot for that interval.
Screenshots:A screenshot of your desktop is taken every minute and whenever a new application is opened.
Activity & Input
Applications & Websites:The app logs the names of applications and websites used, provided they remain active for more than 5 seconds.
Keystrokes:The system captures keystroke data once a specific character count is reached or when typing pauses.
Connectivity & Location
Location:Geographic data is captured to verify user identity.
Network:The app monitors your connection speed to ensure synchronization with Cloudica™ servers. A stable connection of at least 10 Mbps is required. If the connection is unstable, some activity data may fail to upload.
Privacy & Transparency
Cloudica™ is committed to data transparency. Please keep the following in mind:
Active Tracking Only:Data is only captured when the Desktop App is running and the user is logged in.
Confidential Status:Users can toggle Confidential Status at any time. While active, this feature blurs screenshots and masks keystrokes to protect sensitive or personal information.
Data Access:All captured data is available for review on your Cloudica™ Dashboard.
