How to Edit the Monitoring Default Settings The Monitoring Default Settings under the Account Settings let you customize how the desktop app records user data and what data type to capture. To get to this part of the Settings,
  • Click the User Menu.
  • Choose “Settings”. 
  • Click Account Settings from the Left Panel Index.
Under this section, you’ll see the toggle switches for the following: 
  • LocationThe Desktop App identifies the user’s location.
  • SnapshotsThe device’s camera captures snapshots and monitors the user’s idle time. Snapshots are taken once every minute.
  • ApplicationsThe app will take the application names, websites, and screenshots of the active desktop, and when the user switches apps.
  • IdleRecords user’s idle time. This means that there is no mouse or keyboard movement for a certain period of time.
  • KeystrokesLets the app capture keystrokes rendered by the user. 
  • Limit ConfidentialThis restricts users from using the Confidential Status when enabled.
  • Maximum Idle TimeSets the maximum time a user can go idle. If the user goes beyond the set idle time, the app will log the user out. Currently, the default max idle time is 30 minutes. 
Enable/Disable Settings To enable or disable any of the Monitoring Settings, 
  • Click on the toggle switch to enable/disable the option.
Modifying the Maximum Idle Time The account owner has the option to modify the maximum idle time for the Cloudica™ Desktop App.  Idle time refers to the amount of time that lapsed without any user activity. Activity refers to keystrokes and mouse clicks that the user rendered during working hours while logged in to the app. To make the maximum idle time shorter or longer, do the following:
  • Click the text box for the Maximum Idle Time. 
  • Edit and type the desired time in minutes. You can also the up and down arrows to set the time.
  • Click outside the text box to save the changes.
