How Does Cloudica™ Calculate Active vs. Idle Time?

Cloudica™ tracks user presence by differentiating between active work and period pauses through automated keyboard and mouse detection. How Active and Idle Time Work
  • Work Hours (Logged Time): Refers to the total time you are online and logged into the Cloudica™ Desktop App.
  • Idle Time Trigger: Inactivity is measured when there is no mouse movement or keyboard input. The app begins recording idle time after 4 consecutive minutes of inactivity
  • Idle Time Calculation: Although recorded in precise seconds, idle time displays on your dashboard as estimated minutes or hours.
  • Impact on Total Hours: Idle time is not subtracted from the total worked time displayed on the desktop app or web dashboard.
  • Auto Sign-Out: After 30 minutes of continuous inactivity, the desktop app automatically logs you out to protect workspace security and prevent untracked time accumulation.
Adjusting Your Logged Time & Inactivity
  • Requesting Idle Deletion: If you were away from your desk for personal reasons while the app was running, you can submit a request to delete specific idle periods from your account history.
  • Requesting Work Hour Addendums: If you completed official work away from your computer (such as offline meetings or calls), you can request an addendum to augment and manually add hours to your total logged time.
