How to Change the Monitoring Status

Monitoring Status in Cloudica™ helps balance visibility and privacy for remote users. It allows you to control what kind of activity data is tracked while you're logged in—whether you're working, on break, or handling confidential tasks.

By changing your status, you can signal your availability and manage the level of monitoring during your session.

Monitoring Status Options

Each status has a specific icon and function:

Monitored

Icon: Checkmark
Purpose: Default status when logging in for the first time.
Function: All activity (apps, websites, keystrokes, screenshots, etc.) is fully monitored and recorded.

Note: The first time you log in to the app, your status is set to Monitored by default. After that, the app will remember and restore your last selected status on each new login.

Confidential

Icon: Shield
Purpose: Used for tasks that require some privacy.
Function: Screenshots are blurred and keystrokes are masked. App and website activity are still visible to managers, but sensitive information is obscured.

Incognito

Icon: Incognito silhouette
Purpose: Ideal for breaks or non-work-related activities.
Function: No activity is monitored. Screenshots, snapshots, keystrokes, and app usage are disabled.

How to Change Monitoring Status from the Desktop App

You can switch between statuses easily from the Cloudica™ Desktop Application.

Steps:

Hover over the User Header. This is the bar at the top of the app window that displays your name, avatar, and status icon.
Click the Menu Button. A down arrow (▼) will appear. Click it to view your options.
Choose a Status. Select Monitored, Confidential, or Incognito from the dropdown list. You’ll also see a Log Out option here.

Once you switch your status, all monitoring will adjust immediately based on your selection.
