How to Search for a User in the Timesheet
This guide helps you quickly locate a specific user's attendance data using the User Search feature in the Timesheet dashboard. By default, the Timesheet shows all logged-in users for the current day.
Using the User Search Bar
The User Search bar is found at the top of the Dashboard Application. Follow these steps to search:
- Click the Search Bar at the top of the page.
- Type the user's name in the input box.
- Matching results will appear in both:
- The search result container, and
- The Online Users List on the left panel.
- 4. Click the desired user in the search results.
The Timesheet will automatically scroll to and highlight the selected user’s data.
If the user has no data for the selected date, the table will display a “No data found.” message.
Viewing Monitoring Status from the Search
When a user is selected:
- The Online Users List also updates to reflect your search.
- You can quickly check if the user is online and view their monitoring status (monitored, confidential, or incognito).
Using the Search Container Across Modules
You can also use the User Search function from any dashboard module, not just Timesheet:
- Click the Search Bar.
- Choose the Timesheet button from the module filter.
- Type the user’s name.
- Click the user’s name from the results.
The dashboard will then navigate to the Timesheet and highlight the user’s data.
Alternative method:
- Type the user's name first.
- Click the Timesheet module icon beside their name in the results list.
- This will open the Timesheet dashboard directly with their data in view.
Clearing the Search Filter
To remove the user filter and return to the full table:
- Click the back arrow in the search bar, or
- Clear the input text in the search bar.
Note: While the User Search is active, Team Filter cannot be used simultaneously.
