2FA Code Not Appearing in Dashboard
If your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) code is missing from your web dashboard after the initial setup, you can use the Impersonator feature to retrieve it. This process requires a Manager (someone with administrative access to your Cloudica account) to assist.
Phase 1: Manager Setup (Impersonation)
The Manager must first access the User's dashboard through their own account.
- Log In: The Manager logs into their Cloudica dashboard.
- Navigate to Users: Click the User Menu and select Manage Users.
- Open User Profile: Locate the specific user's data box and click it to open the User Drawer.
- Activate Impersonator: Scroll down to the Other Options section and click the Impersonate button.
Note: This allows the Manager to see the User's dashboard view without needing their private login credentials.
Phase 2: Generating the Code
Now, the User and the Manager must coordinate in real time.
- Trigger the Code (User): The User should attempt to log in via the Cloudica Desktop App. This will trigger the 2FA request.
- Approve Access (Manager): On the "Impersonated" dashboard, a new banner will appear just below the header. The Manager must click this banner and select Allow this device.
- Share the Code: The 2FA code will now appear on the Manager's screen. The Manager can then provide this code to the User to complete their login.
Phase 3: Ending the Session
Once the code is shared, the Manager should exit the Impersonator view to return to their own settings.
- Click the User Menu on the Impersonated dashboard.
- Select Logout.
- You will be automatically returned to the primary Manager Dashboard.
